Ways of systems integration in architecture
Description of the challenge: We have a lot of implemented IT systems in our organization. It's hard to call them island systems, they are not silo systems that serve only one area, but these are large systems dedicated to specific areas. Integration between them is a bit of a challenge. We are talking about thick systems - a controlling system, ERP system, work time management system. Each of these systems creates a fairly serious instance and of course it is somehow "connected" with each other, but in such an absolutely direct way, that is, the system talks to the system. There is some interface created on both sides, we put it together and it talks to each other. 1. Are there any tools / experiences on how to implement a certain integration platform for this type of solution? Not a system connected with the system for a short time, but more like a data bus, an application bus that works, is implemented as a separate system and it creates a certain integration bus for all those systems that are above it? 2. How do you plan it? Implementation experience with several systems, implementation of something that integrates these different systems and these different instances? 3. Is there a system to which you can always plug in with a plug with a new system and that data between the systems is exchanged in a manner defined by us?
