José Manuel Inchausti joined MAPFRE in 1988. After holding various positions in Spain, Brazil and Colombia, he was appointed General Manager of Technology and Procedures Group in 2007. His main objectives in this area were taking advantage of existing synergies, increasing specialization of equipment and placing MAPFRE as one of the technology leaders in the market.
Among his achievements are the introduction of advanced technologies such as Business Process Management and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), the drive to build a new Data Processing Center (DPC), the reduction of costs associated with the technology Group and obtaining certification process evaluation CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) Level 2. In addition, in 2012 he was elected European CIO of the Year by CIONET and INSEAD, in the Technology-driven category.
