If you were there on sunny August 29th, this is the time to collect some good memories. If not, you can have a feeling of what you have missed at CIONET Belgium's summer celebration!
The day started with a peer group. For the second year in a row, 12 CIOs are gathering regularly throughout the year to discuss their professional challenges in a closed group of peers, and collect their advise on how to deal with these challenges. CIONET Belgium will soon start a second peer group specifically for CIOs in the public sector. To learn more about the peer groups click here or contact mieke@cionet.com.
At the start of the afternoon the peer group was joined by the Advisory Board members to establish a long-list of topics for the 2018 conferences. What are the main questions that keep them awake at night? What tangible projects are in their pipeline, for which they seek the experience of their peers and the insights of thought leaders? These were the questions we discussed. The long-list of topics will lead to a survey among all our members, which in turn will result in CIONET Belgium's conference program for 2018.
At the end of the afternoon we were joined by other CIONET members to learn from two visionary speakers. Social media evangelist Isabel De Clercq made a case for using more social media in business, using some strong successful examples of Belgian companies who embraced social fully. Serial entrepreneur Roland Duchatelet shared his view on how the next wave of technology is destroying jobs, which can only be beneficial of we change our societal model altogether.
These messages were further debated on over some refreshing drinks and nice food at Restaurant Stassart 11.
An intense, insightful and yet relaxing day for Belgian CIOs at the end of summer. Make sure to mark in in your agenda for next year, August 28th 2018.
