CIONET grants award to visionary leader who leverages digital innovation to the benefit of the entire organisation

Amsterdam – June 27, 2017 -- CIONET International today announced that Herman De Prins, CIO of UCB, receives the European Digital Innovator of the Year award from CIONET.

With this award CIONET, the largest international community of Chief Information Officers (CIOs) wishes to celebrate the accomplishments of a visionary digital leader who has leveraged the use of technology in an innovative way within his organization, to the benefit of the entire company.

With this award the jury, which consists of the winners of the European CIO of the Year award of the three previous years, wants to recognize the fact that Herman De Prins created a culture of innovation that is productive AND competitive, by empowering teams to test and learn with evidence.

Furthermore, he has helped UCB reorganise itself around teams, you and other CxOs have changed your roles from micro-managing innovation to orchestrating synergies across innovative teams. You now ensure they are sufficiently integrated to have access to the resources necessary to not simply innovate but to innovate competitively.
