On Monday June 27th at the CIOCITY conference in Amsterdam, the executive teams of the Digital Leader associations from China, Europe, India, Russia, South America and the United States will sign a collaboration agreement.

Initiated by CIONET International, the following organisations have agreed to sign a collaboration agreement – The Global Digital Leader Alliance – to share peer-to-peer knowledge and best-practices on the Global Digital Transition. These organisations are: CIONET International, the China CIO Union, the CIOKLUB, India, the Russian Union of CIO and the Society for Information Management from the United States. Together, these organisations represent well over 20.000 Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Digital Leaders from all over the world and represent billions in IT investments.

We live in an era of a Global Digital Transition touching all global markets and organisations. We see new organisations, business models and processes emerge at an increasingly faster speed. The Digital Leaders represented in these networks are responsible for the Digital Transition within there organisation. Through collaboration it will be possible to share knowledge, research and best practices from around the globe.

Hendrik Deckers, founder and CEO of CIONET Internationaal: “ We see the Digital Transition taking place around the Globe. Digital Leaders all struggle with the same issues. I am proud that CIONET has taken the initiative to connect these global networks based in the question: ‘what do we have in common?’ This will help Digital Leaders from around the globe to share knowledge and enable them better to help realise a digital society”.

Kasja Ollongren, deputy-mayor of Amsterdam: “We are proud to be the host city for CIOCITY. Amsterdam has the ambition of being a Global Digital Hub and this international top IT event gathers exactly the people that fit in that ambition. We are also very happy that you choose Amsterdam to be the birthplace of the Global Digital Leaders Alliance (GlobalDLA) connecting Digital Leaders from around the world.”
