On August 27th over hundred Belgian IT decision takers gathered to celebrate the 10 years of CIONET Belgium.

CIONET founder Hendrik Deckers provided an overview of the road CIONET has traveled in these 10 years, as well as the direction of CIONET in the next 10 years. Carl Tilkin-Franssens, CIO of Acerta and the first president of CIONET's Advisory Board in 2005, shed his light on how the role of CIO's has changed throughout these years, or at least is perceived to change, while many things remain the same... Surprise keynote speaker Rik Torfs, rector of the KULeuven, picked up on the thought and in his typically humorous yet profound way explained the difference between information and knowledge, and how smart people also pay attention to things that do not change.

After these profound thoughts it was time for drinks and a convivial -exotic- hamburger...

Feel the spirit of the event on the pictures! If you were there it will provide wonderful memories of this exceptional event. If you were not, it will give you a good idea about what you missed...

Thanks to all our members and people who supported us throughout the years, and contributed in making CIONET a powerful international network!
