Kurt De Ruwe wins Lida-Award

Recently, Kurt De Ruwe, former CIO of Bayer MaterialScience and member of the German CIONET Advisory Board and now CIO at Philips Lighting in the Netherlands, received the Leader Digital Age Award” in the Manager category. He was granted the Lida Award for his way of inspiring others by leading by example.

He is regarded a true Digital Leader as he strongly motivates participation and networking among colleagues and employees. During his four years as leader of the SAP-project “Programm One – Change is happening” at Bayer MaterialScience, he collected more than 500 suggestions from employees, encouraging them to share opinions and knowledge and therefore get involved across functions. Mr. De Ruwe shows in his daily work why networking and sharing knowledge in a global organization is invaluable and can provide a significant additional benefit for each employee.
