On April 10th, senior IT leaders gathered at the beautiful waterfront location of Restaurant Het Bosch in Amsterdam for an exclusive CIO Vision Dinner, hosted by CIONET and Zerto, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company. The evening focused on one critical question:

How can organizations proactively safeguard business continuity and strengthen IT resilience in the face of increasing disruption?

An engaging evening of insight and exchange

From the welcome reception to the roundtable discussions, the event offered an intimate setting for open dialogue, idea-sharing, and professional connection. Guests appreciated the unique location, the warm atmosphere, and most importantly, the opportunity to deep-dive into challenges and strategies around IT resilience.

Key themes from the discussion

Throughout the evening, several recurring themes and challenges emerged from our conversations and post-event feedback:

  • Proactive over Reactive: The shift from traditional disaster recovery to real-time, automated, and resilient IT infrastructures is underway—but many still face hurdles in fully implementing this.
  • Complexity and Time: Participants cited frustration with time-consuming disaster recovery processes and limited orchestration in their current data protection strategies.
  • Compliance & Awareness: Some leaders struggle to meet compliance and recovery objectives, or to gain internal attention and buy-in for resilience initiatives.
  • Tooling & Automation: There’s a growing interest in solutions that offer real-time data replication, automated disaster recovery, and continuous data protection with minimal downtime.
