Data availability keeps growing, but decision-making often feels slower. Every function builds its own dashboards, metrics multiply, and reports begin to contradict each other. What was meant to improve transparency now creates confusion. The problem is not access to data but alignment on interpretation. When information becomes noise, confidence in reporting collapses. People hesitate to act, functions challenge each other’s numbers, and trust in analytics erodes. The challenge lies in restoring clarity: deciding which metrics matter, who owns them, and how reporting connects back to action. Let’s discuss how to simplify information flows, define consistent metrics, and reconnect dashboards with decision-making. How ownership, cadence, and shared understanding bring alignment back. A closed conversation on rebuilding confidence in data, where clarity replaces overload and information once again supports action.

In the middle of the night, 200 miles from the coast, the alarm sounds. The "Man Overboard" cry isn't just about a person in the water; it’s the ultimate test of a crew’s preparation, psychological grit, and split-second communication. For the modern European CIO, the "Man Overboard" moment happens in the data centre, the boardroom, or the headlines. When the system fails, the pressure doesn't just sit on the servers; it sits on you. Join CIONET for an exclusive VIP evening at the coast, a deep dive into the Human and Digital Anatomy of a Crisis. We will explore why some leaders thrive under the crushing weight of a "Black Swan" event while others capsize, and how data serves as the steady keel that keeps the ship upright.

AI started small: a few pilots, some dashboards, a couple of chatbots. But then it spread, quickly. Now every department wants a model, every vendor adds “AI-powered” to their pitch, and every regulator is asking about risk and transparency. Governance suddenly went from a nice idea to a full-time job. Scaling governance is harder than launching AI. Policies look great on slides, but in practice, ownership blurs and enforcement stalls. Central control slows things down, while local freedom invites risk. Everyone agrees AI should be safe and ethical, but no one agrees on who signs off when something goes wrong, all leading to AIs living as permanent PoCs. So how do you scale oversight without creating bureaucracy? How do you distribute responsibility between IT, business, and compliance? And what controls actually hold up when AI keeps changing after deployment? Let’s explore how organisations make governance part of daily operations, not an afterthought. A closed conversation for those trying to keep AI credible, compliant, and under control while it spreads across the enterprise.

The GrEEK Campus secures campus with Trend Micro Endpoint Security
The GrEEK Campus, a leading tech and innovation hub, faced growing cyber threats. Trend Micro's comprehensive security solutions protected its data and ensured business continuity, allowing it to focus on innovation and growth.
OVERVIEW
Cairo’s first technology and innovation park offers a springboard for Egypt’s innovators. Based in the heart of the nation’s capital, The GrEEK Campus is laser-focused on a techimmersed future of capable professionals and transformed industries.
The GrEEK Campus offers a diverse collection of spaces that integrate work and life for all types of businesses. Startups, entrepreneurs, enthusiasts, and creatives meet with industry leaders, incubators, accelerators, and investors to enable growth. Founded in 2014, the organization now has more than 1,600 members in 160 offices, supporting the launch of more than 90 startups and the hosting of around 1,000 events each year.
CHALLENGES
Following the breach of a key workstation, caused by ransomware, The GrEEK Campus decided that it needed a holistic solution that blended privacy and security—all while maintaining an agile architecture that was flexible and scalable. “It was one of our finance workstations that got infected,” explained Marwan Arafah, head of technology, The GrEEK Campus. “The ransomware showed up not long after we mistakenly disabled Trend Micro™ Maximum Security. That event demonstrated to us the clear need for a more centralized security solution that would enable our IT team to have a comprehensive, real-time view of the entire technology stack.”
WHY TREND
The GrEEK Campus began its search for the right security vendor. “Of course, we casted our net around for other vendors, but we kept coming back to Trend Micro,” says Arafah. “They had been our trusted partner for quite a while, and had never let us down.”
After some research, Arafah discovered Trend Micro’s wide range of products and services that protect individuals and organizations from threats both online and offline. “We had already established confidence in Trend Micro’s quality of service, it made the most sense to reach out to them and consult on a full-fledged solution,” says Arafah.
“Trend Micro really stood out in terms of the range of options they provided; in trying to protect our circle of innovators, we needed a trusted partner who could walk us through our options,” says Arafah.
Our experience with the deployment of Trend Micro’s solution was very smooth. Within hours, we rolled out protection measures across our ecosystem and Trend Micro’s team provided us with timely information and support at every step.

SOLUTION
“Our experience with the deployment of Trend Micro’s solution was very smooth,” says Arafah. “Within hours, we rolled out protection measures across our ecosystem and Trend Micro’s team provided us with timely information and support at every step.”
Since implementing Trend Micro™ Worry-Free™ Business Security and Trend Micro™ Cloud App Security, The GrEEK Campus has experienced heightened confidence in its security posture. Its IT team now has greater visibility of events across networks and endpoints than ever before. Worry-Free Business Security provides protection, such as antivirus, antispam, web security, ransomware protection, and data security, for PC, Mac®, server, and mobile devices.
Cloud App Security provides another layer of confidence by enabling the campus to deliver all of the benefits cloud services offer to its employees and members, while maintaining a strong threat posture. Cloud App Security protects incoming and outgoing Office 365® email from advanced malware, and compliance is enforced on cloud file-sharing services, like Dropbox™ and Google Drive™.
Since rolling out Cloud App Security, our IT team was able to focus more on our core business needs, as we trusted Trend Micro to protect our Microsoft 365 activity.
Marwan Arafah
Head of Technology, The GrEEK Campus
RESULTS
Worry-Free Business Security and Cloud App Security now protects The GrEEK Campus’ employees and members from a growing threat landscape and frees up much-needed resources that can be diverted to more innovative tasks. “Since rolling out Cloud App Security, our IT team was able to focus more on our core business needs, as we trusted Trend Micro to protect our Microsoft 365 activity,” says Arafah. “And our finance team can now be rest assured that their data is safe with Worry-Free Business Security. This is a huge load off our mind. Now we can concentrate on our fundamental mission—the cultivation of a creative environment for our nation’s future business leaders.”
