Data availability keeps growing, but decision-making often feels slower. Every function builds its own dashboards, metrics multiply, and reports begin to contradict each other. What was meant to improve transparency now creates confusion. The problem is not access to data but alignment on interpretation. When information becomes noise, confidence in reporting collapses. People hesitate to act, functions challenge each other’s numbers, and trust in analytics erodes. The challenge lies in restoring clarity: deciding which metrics matter, who owns them, and how reporting connects back to action. Let’s discuss how to simplify information flows, define consistent metrics, and reconnect dashboards with decision-making. How ownership, cadence, and shared understanding bring alignment back. A closed conversation on rebuilding confidence in data, where clarity replaces overload and information once again supports action.

In the middle of the night, 200 miles from the coast, the alarm sounds. The "Man Overboard" cry isn't just about a person in the water; it’s the ultimate test of a crew’s preparation, psychological grit, and split-second communication. For the modern European CIO, the "Man Overboard" moment happens in the data centre, the boardroom, or the headlines. When the system fails, the pressure doesn't just sit on the servers; it sits on you. Join CIONET for an exclusive VIP evening at the coast, a deep dive into the Human and Digital Anatomy of a Crisis. We will explore why some leaders thrive under the crushing weight of a "Black Swan" event while others capsize, and how data serves as the steady keel that keeps the ship upright.

AI started small: a few pilots, some dashboards, a couple of chatbots. But then it spread, quickly. Now every department wants a model, every vendor adds “AI-powered” to their pitch, and every regulator is asking about risk and transparency. Governance suddenly went from a nice idea to a full-time job. Scaling governance is harder than launching AI. Policies look great on slides, but in practice, ownership blurs and enforcement stalls. Central control slows things down, while local freedom invites risk. Everyone agrees AI should be safe and ethical, but no one agrees on who signs off when something goes wrong, all leading to AIs living as permanent PoCs. So how do you scale oversight without creating bureaucracy? How do you distribute responsibility between IT, business, and compliance? And what controls actually hold up when AI keeps changing after deployment? Let’s explore how organisations make governance part of daily operations, not an afterthought. A closed conversation for those trying to keep AI credible, compliant, and under control while it spreads across the enterprise.

DEPAEUW modernizes its safety with YOURAX and Trend Micro
Modernizes its safety with YOURAX and Trend Micro
OVERVIEW
Depaeuw was established in 1964 in Hauts-de-France when founder Gylbert Depaeuw acquired his first truck. Since then, the family business continued to grow to a fleet of 200 trucks, making them a leading transport and logistics company. Depaeuw takes pride in transporting goods in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner.
Depaeuw’s head office is located in London, with three other locations in Dunkirk, Pérenchies, and Salome, as well. They continue to operate in its regional base of Hauts-de-France.
With their recent decision to migrate to the cloud, Depaeuw had to rethink its security policy. The transition to the cloud began about two years ago when the management team decided that exporting most of their IT applications would be best for their multisite organization. “We chose Microsoft® Office 365® and entrusted the hosting of some of our office data at CIV, an eco-responsible data center in the region,” says Bruno Bacquet, CIO of Depaeuw.
Knowing this transition would be a large task, they hired YOURAX, an IT security implementation company, to support them in securing and managing the change in their IT infrastructures. YOURAX suggested Trend Micro solutions to secure their transition to the cloud and found the best solution to fit their needs was the Trend Micro™ Smart Protection Suite.
"At the time, our infrastructure, protected by a different security solution, was attacked by a virus that was difficult to eradicate. This prompted me to reach out to our security partner, YOURAX, who offered me the solution Trend Micro™ OfficeScan™. The solution was able to stop the virus and left us completely satisfied."
Bruno Bacquet - CIO of Depaeuw
WHY TREND
Ten years ago, Bruno Bacquet found himself in a difficult situation and was assisted by Trend Micro, who eased the situation and helped find a resolution. Bacquet explained, “At the time, our infrastructure, still protected by a different security solution, was attacked by a virus that was difficult to eradicate. This prompted me to reach out to our security partner, YOURAX, who offered me the solution Trend Micro™ OfficeScan™. The solution was able to stop the virus and left us completely satisfied.” That said, Trend Micro quickly became the became a natural choice to secure Depaeuw’s redesigned security strategy in the cloud.
SOLUTION
The great challenge Depaeuw faced was ensuring the security solution could provide layered security across all of the hosted applications, which is why Smart Protection Suites was the solution of choice. Depeauw began the installation of the suite in the beginning 2017, securing all levels of their new computer system. The first layer, Trend Micro™ Hosted Email Security™, inspects the email flow in transit in the Office 365 Cloud, before arriving at Depaeuw. Then it targets spam and has a space where suspicious emails can be tested and destroyed.
The second layer of defense they deployed was Trend Micro™ Cloud App Security, which provides them with direct cloud-to-cloud integration through application programming interfaces (APIs). “It monitors Microsoft® Exchange Server™ online e-mail, files dropped on Microsoft® OneDrive®, and files exchanged through Microsoft® SharePoint® online”, explained Ludovic Henze.
The third and final layer deployed was Trend Micro Apex One™. The company has a total of one hundred clients, 20 servers, and a fleet of smartphones. With Apex One, a range of layered detection capabilities, alongside investigation and response, defends the endpoint through every stage.
"I no longer have to manage the infrastructure or keep it in operational condition. I focus on my job...."
Bruno Bacquet - CIO of Depaeuw
RESULTS
The results are immediate. “The quarter following the deployment, the volume of unwanted messages fell drastically,” said Bacquet. Further expressing that, “More than 70 percent of incoming messages that contain spam, phishing attempts, and etc. are blocked.”
Bruno Bacquet’s two main objectives have been achieved: To strengthen the level of security and to make IT administration more flexible.
Apex One has enabled much faster and more convenient deployment of security on computers. “If a new PC arrives, all I have to do is connect to the administration console and send an e-mail link to the employee. From there, all the employee has to do is click on this link to have the agent settle in automatically,” explained Bacquet.
Most importantly, Bacquet expressed, “I no longer have to manage the infrastructure or keep it in operational condition. I focus on my job, that is, project management in the transport management system, our OMP business software. As a result, the existing IT security policy is evolving to support this important shift.”
Depaeuw is excited about its relationship with Trend Micro and the local experience YOURAX brings.
