Data availability keeps growing, but decision-making often feels slower. Every function builds its own dashboards, metrics multiply, and reports begin to contradict each other. What was meant to improve transparency now creates confusion. The problem is not access to data but alignment on interpretation. When information becomes noise, confidence in reporting collapses. People hesitate to act, functions challenge each other’s numbers, and trust in analytics erodes. The challenge lies in restoring clarity: deciding which metrics matter, who owns them, and how reporting connects back to action. Let’s discuss how to simplify information flows, define consistent metrics, and reconnect dashboards with decision-making. How ownership, cadence, and shared understanding bring alignment back. A closed conversation on rebuilding confidence in data, where clarity replaces overload and information once again supports action.

In the middle of the night, 200 miles from the coast, the alarm sounds. The "Man Overboard" cry isn't just about a person in the water; it’s the ultimate test of a crew’s preparation, psychological grit, and split-second communication. For the modern European CIO, the "Man Overboard" moment happens in the data centre, the boardroom, or the headlines. When the system fails, the pressure doesn't just sit on the servers; it sits on you. Join CIONET for an exclusive VIP evening at the coast, a deep dive into the Human and Digital Anatomy of a Crisis. We will explore why some leaders thrive under the crushing weight of a "Black Swan" event while others capsize, and how data serves as the steady keel that keeps the ship upright.

AI started small: a few pilots, some dashboards, a couple of chatbots. But then it spread, quickly. Now every department wants a model, every vendor adds “AI-powered” to their pitch, and every regulator is asking about risk and transparency. Governance suddenly went from a nice idea to a full-time job. Scaling governance is harder than launching AI. Policies look great on slides, but in practice, ownership blurs and enforcement stalls. Central control slows things down, while local freedom invites risk. Everyone agrees AI should be safe and ethical, but no one agrees on who signs off when something goes wrong, all leading to AIs living as permanent PoCs. So how do you scale oversight without creating bureaucracy? How do you distribute responsibility between IT, business, and compliance? And what controls actually hold up when AI keeps changing after deployment? Let’s explore how organisations make governance part of daily operations, not an afterthought. A closed conversation for those trying to keep AI credible, compliant, and under control while it spreads across the enterprise.

SIGNAL IDUNA Asigurare Reasigurare achieves full visibility with Trend Micro Vision One™
Trend Micro's cloud-based security solutions played a crucial role in supporting SIGNAL IDUNA's digital transformation, providing efficient and cost-effective protection while reducing the burden on IT infrastructure.
OVERVIEW
The pandemic accelerated the global digital transformation process, resulting in significant changes in the Romanian insurance market. For SIGNAL IDUNA Asigurare Reasigurare, the digitization of most of the company’s processes allowed employees to quickly benefit from a series of operational and technical measures that enabled them to continue working remotely.
"Trend Micro’s integrated solutions have proven to be very efficient and cost- effective. With the cloud- based subscription model, the burden of our IT infrastructure has been relieved, and our cybersecurity staff can focus on enterprise business security."
Andreea Grafu - IT Manager, SIGNAL IDUNA Asigurare Reasigurare
CHALLENGES
While increased digitalization allowed SIGNAL IDUNA Asigurare Reasigurare to work remotely, they now faced the challenge of maintaining a secure working environment. Most importantly, they needed to provide customers with an adequate level of data security. Moreover, today’s business world is becoming increasingly connected. The number and quality of cyberattacks are constantly increasing with the development of information technologies. To solve these challenges, SIGNAL IDUNA Asigurare Reasigurare wanted to implement a dynamic approach to cybersecurity that can defend against the ever-growing number of threats.
The company was already using Trend Micro solutions but decided to expand its cybersecurity solutions to cover a broader area of network layers. When Trend Micro was initially selected as the security solutions provider, all alternative security solutions were considered alongside industry analyst recommendations. To protect the entire integrated environment, additional Trend Micro solutions were introduced, allowing IT staff to manage security more effectively across all areas.
SOLUTION
SIGNAL IDUNA Asigurare Reasigurare is now using Trend Micro Vision One with multi-layer, extended detection and response (XDR) capabilities, which secure email, endpoints, servers, cloud resources and the network, providing complete visibility and faster response. The SaaS solution featured automatic upgrades and updates, further reducing IT infrastructure costs.
RESULTS
The implementation only took six months to complete. SIGNAL IDUNA Asigurare Reasigurare’s cybersecurity was enhanced by aggregating and analyzing the activity of various IT infrastructure assets and improving visibility. Trend Micro’s solutions have proven to be highly efficient and easy to maintain, while making a significant difference to the company’s infrastructure. The cloud subscription model allows for more time to focus on establishing business security policies rather than ensuring solutions are updated to the latest version. The implementation of Trend Micro solutions also made it possible to meet all compliance regulations related to data security, both Romanian and European. This is an extremely important aspect for customers when choosing service providers.
WHAT'S NEXT
Implementing a dynamic approach to cybersecurity in the company ensures flexible adaptation to the ever-growing number of cyber threats. With automatic software updates to the latest versions, SIGNAL IDUNA Asigurare Reasigurare can stay current with latest Trend Micro security solutions, allowing their cybersecurity professionals to focus on standardizing the company’s data protection processes.
