In an era defined by constant change, growing complexity and fast-emerging technologies, traditional networking models are increasingly struggling to meet the demands of the modern enterprise. For organisations operating across regions, clouds and ecosystems, the network is now both mission-critical and a growing constraint.
Whether supporting a globally distributed workforce, integrating partners and suppliers, managing the impact of mergers or acquisitions, simplifying hybrid and multi cloud environments, or preparing infrastructure for AI-driven workloads, established approaches to network design and operations are often too rigid, too slow and too resource-intensive.
At this forthcoming CIONET executive roundtable, brought to you in association with Alkira, we will explore how organisations are rethinking enterprise networking to better support scale, resilience and innovation. The discussion will focus on the challenges of modernising WAN, data centre and cloud networking and the potential of adopting an as-a-service approach to network infrastructure.
This roundtable is designed for technology leaders accountable for how enterprise networking and connectivity support business growth, operational resilience and cloud strategy - whether directly or through the teams they lead.
Network Infrastructure as a Service (NIaaS) is gaining traction as a way to reduce complexity while improving control, performance and visibility. Among the reported benefits are lower operational overhead, increased agility and faster cloud adoption. A recent study commissioned by Alkira found that customers achieved a 44% reduction in deployed network and security devices, alongside an 84% decrease in the staff time required to add a new cloud environment.
