This year, twenty-one digital leaders from nine European countries participated as finalists of CIONET’s CIO of the Year contest 2017. Together with their teams, these leaders have accomplished successful transformation of their organisation, hereby creating a substantial impact on the overall business. They have done so in various ways, adapting to the prerogatives of their company’s culture, aspirations and specific environment.
This report contains the profiles of these digital leaders, as well as their major achievements in recent years and the key learning they have taken from this experience. Additionally in this report, Nils Fonstad, research scientist at MIT CISR, sheds his light on what makes digital companies successful, based on his thorough research in this field.
