This year's CIONET Summer Fest is dedicated to 'Belgium’s Finest' - a celebration of the ventures at the forefront of shaping our country's digital future. We aim to shine a light on Belgium's digital landscape, showcasing the startups, scale-ups, and innovative IT and technology projects that remain undiscovered treasures.

We are privileged to welcome Jan Smedts, Director-General of Digital Flanders, as our keynote speaker. Jan will unveil his vision and the roadmap towards a thriving digital economy and society. His insights will be complemented by presentations from inspiring Belgian tech companies making significant strides on the global stage. Frederik Degryse, CEO of iTRACEiT in Belgium, will share the story of this innovative Belgian scale-up. Established by seasoned experts in the diamond industry, iTRACEiT empowers businesses to meticulously track and trace – by combining blockchain and AI technologies - the lifecycle of products, reassuring consumers about the ethical origins and handling of their purchases. 

We are also excited to have the Innoptus Solar Team on stage that evening: the Belgian engineering students competing to build the most innovative and efficient solar car and currently holding the title of World Champion after winning races in Chile, Australia and Belgium.

Next speaker will be Romeo Martens, CTO and Co-founder of Sealution, a start-up company from Sint-Martens-Latem that found a unique Internet of Things (IoT) solution that can connects all devices and systems on a seagoing vessel. Sealution has been ranked among the best 100 start ups in the world out of a total of 30,000 candidates at the Entrepreneurship World Cup at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
