Before the festivities begin at our 20th Anniversary Summer Festival, CIONET’s Advisory Board members will gather (between 12:00 and 14:30) for a special board meeting set in the stunning Herkenrode Abbey.
Not your average boardroom gathering, this is a two-part experience:
We’ll kick off by exploring the key challenges and opportunities on CIOs’ agendas for the year ahead. Together, we’ll shape the future direction of CIONET’s 2026 programme, ensuring it delivers the right support for Belgium’s digital leaders.
In the second half, we shift from strategy to skills. As requested during the previous Advisory Board meeting, we’ve planned a dedicated session for AB members focused on the CIO’s challenges in negotiation and communication.
Prof. Robin de Cock will guide us through a high-impact masterclass based on his latest book, “Mastering the Pitch.”
Focused on engagement, persuasion, and influence, this session dives into how to gain buy-in from stakeholders and board members, using a proven, research-backed framework enriched by industry insights.
Because it’s not just about what comes next, it’s about being equipped to lead it.
Historic, Exclusive & Authentic
Important moments deserve a unique setting. One with historical cachet, surrounding greenery and yet easily accessible. The 12th-century Herkenrode Abbey comprises a vast domain with a green drive, ample parking, a gatehouse, a large courtyard and the beautifully restored tithe barn. The courtyard, the inspirational gardens and the surrounding nature reserve complete the picture. This oasis of peace, greenery and historical heritage is located 500 metres from the E314 & E313 motorways and 5 kilometres from the centre of Hasselt.
