A pioneer of today’s Internet in the seventies (at MIT) Roger Camrass has been helping organisations across the Globe harness the power of new technologies and methods for over five decades.
As a thought leader, business executive and part time academic, Roger has introduced a succession of innovations including digital networking in the seventies, outsourcing and call centres in the eighties, business reengineering and third generation mobile networks in the nineties, e-commerce in 2000 and more recently cloud and 5G.
30 year executive career, 15 years leading IT functions at Executive Board level: CIO at easyJet, The AA, RAC, HomeServe. 9 years at Mars Inc. rising to Head of IT at Mars Confectionery and FourSquare.
Range of non-executive, advisory and coaching roles/clients from Affinity Water, Futurice, the Civil Aviation Authority, Cisco, Savills to A Plan Insurance.
Led high profile and diverse transformation programmes. Substantial experience of acquisitions and disposals, integration activities and turnarounds/restructuring. Extensive team leadership, budget, portfolio and risk management experience and able to facilitate change through others.
Career consciously developed across diverse sectors to ensure broad experience: Travel, Support Services, Insurance, Consumer Packaged Goods and Manufacturing, Banking, Oil and Gas.
Alan W. Brown is Professor in Digital Economy at the University of Exeter Business School where he co-leads the Initiative in Digital Economy at Exeter (INDEX). Alan’s research is focused on agile approaches to business transformation, and the relationship between technology innovation and business innovation in today’s rapidly-evolving digital economy. After receiving a PhD in Computational Science at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Alan spent almost 2 decades in the USA in commercial high-tech companies leading R&D teams, building leading-edge solutions, and driving innovation in software product delivery. He then spent 5 years in Madrid leading enterprise strategy as European CTO for IBM’s Software group. Most recently Alan co-founded the Surrey Centre for the Digital Economy (CoDE) at the University of Surrey where he led research initiatives in 4 EPSRC-funded research projects.
The impact of Alan’s research is seen in his consulting activities where he advises several startups, and works with clients in the public and private sector including the UK National Audit Office, Centrica, SAP, Resonate, McLaren, and several UK Government agencies. He has published 5 books and numerous papers on software engineering, systems design, and digital business transformation. He was also named in the apolitical.co 2018 list of the world’s 100 most influential people in digital government. In March 2019 Alan received a Fellowship from the Alan Turing Institute, the UK national institute for AI and data science.
A leader of 35 years’, principally in the pharmaceutical sector at GlaxoSmithKline, experience across global operational and technology remits, Maureen has deep expertise in the management of manufacturing and supply, she has led and strategically directed global product and transformational programmes across complex multi-national businesses. Experienced in many leadership roles from originating and delivering strategy and solutions to create business value, including synergies from M&A and divestments, to leading crisis management responses.
