Digital leaders are frequently convinced that transformation can be accomplished by addressing the ‘hard’ issues such as technology and process. Few spend sufficient time integrating the ‘soft' issues, such as people, culture and business mission, into their change programmes. It is hardly surprising that up to 70% of technology-driven projects fail to deliver successful outcomes. Boards have grown weary of ‘moonshots’ and prefer incremental change. How can our community help guarantee success when digital calls for disruptive change?
