About

Over the last 12 months cyberattacks have increased dramatically across the UK, with supply chains becoming increasingly vulnerable to disruption. CIOs regularly refer to cybersecurity as being their top priority, but how well do boards and risk committees understand these growing risks?

Our next CIO Circle virtual wine tasting event on 16 December at 17:30, will explore the business implications of cyberattacks and discuss how digital leaders can help boards to better assess risk levels and improve risk mitigation. Issues to be discussed include:

  • Areas of greatest risk to businesses and public sector organisations
  • Ways in which cyber can become part of a strategic conversation
  • Methods and tools to help mitigate risk and ensure compliance
  • Appropriate funding levels to protect shareholder value
Gavin Cartwright, EY’s Cybersecurity Lead Partner, will co-host the event with Roger Camrass and share the findings of the firm’s UK Global information security survey – Cybersecurity report | EY UK that focuses on board-level engagement, securing supply chains and controlling the compliance landscape.
