We all recognise that just four technologies – cloud, mobility, social media and big data, have created immense structural changes to our social and working habits over the past two decades. They have also fuelled the development of Big Tech that now dominates the global equity markets. But you have seen nothing yet!
We anticipate a second wave of technical advances in the coming decade that will create even more change. These include Quantum and Edge computing, AI and Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, 3D printing, and Virtual Reality. A pioneer of today’s Internet in the seventies (at MIT) Roger Camrass has been helping organisations across the Globe harness the power of new technologies and methods for over five decades.
As a thought leader, business executive and part time academic, Roger has introduced a succession of innovations including digital networking in the seventies, outsourcing and call centres in the eighties, business reengineering and third generation mobile networks in the nineties, e-commerce in 2000 and more recently cloud and 5G.
Petrina is responsible for shaping Equinix’s connected autonomous vehicles and smart transport strategy, including integrating emerging technologies that include IoT, cloud technologies, 5G, AI and complex data sharing. The global role is focused around new ecosystem discovery and curation, pursuit strategy & customer engagement, which covers research into the application of emerging technologies within industry segments and technology partner alignment. Petrina has held a number of positions in Equinix since joining in 2000 including VP of Vertical Marketing, VP of Business Development and has also lead on strategic projects (M&A activities, EMEA Cloud Acceleration Project Lead, Strategic Alliances GTM programs, etc.)
Kevin Kennedy is senior vice president of products at Vectra. With more than 27 years in technology product management, more than half of those years in security, Kevin has seen it all. From Threat Intel, Encryption and Secure Web Gateways to Content, Email, Firewall, and Network security to today leading the Threat Detection and Response product vision and strategy for Vectra. Not afraid to challenge the status quo, but respectful of the challenges security teams face, Kevin approaches product with a healthy dose of empathy - staying true to the problem to be solved - and effectively balancing innovation and practicality. Prior to Vectra, Kevin launched his career in threat intel at IronPort. He continued to hone his security product management skills with stints at Juniper, Cisco, and Agari Data. Kevin bleeds maize and blue graduating from the University of Michigan with a BSE in computer engineering
Brad Mallard is the Chief Technology Officer at Version 1, having worked in a number of high-profile C-suite tech roles for both the public and private sector. Brad leads Version 1's long-term technology strategy. Through the technology strategy's initiatives, Brad, in collaboration with business and technology leaders across the company, explores emerging technologies, assesses their potential for Version 1's customers, prototypes and evaluates new concepts, and recommends new strategies and solutions. Brad is also responsible for Version 1's technology industry engagements, partner collaborations, and building an excellent workplace for leading technologists and engineers to come and thrive together.
