About

We all recognise that just four technologies – cloud, mobility, social media and big data, have created immense structural changes to our social and working habits over the past two decades. They have also fuelled the development of Big Tech that now dominates the global equity markets. But you have seen nothing yet!

We anticipate a second wave of technical advances in the coming decade that will create even more change. These include Quantum and Edge computing, AI and Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, 3D printing, and Virtual Reality. The question facing organisations is when and how to act on these exciting new opportunities. Our first community event of 2023 will examine:

  • What business problems are such new wave technologies likely to address?
  • How do we experiment to confirm the commercial value of such techniques?
  • What role might the CIO and IT organisation play in such orchestration?
  • What might the roadmap look like for technology exploitation during this decade?

We are delighted to stage five uniquely qualified global experts on this topic including

  1. Cindy Hoots - Chief Digital Officer & CIO at AstraZeneca
  2. Catriona Campbell - CTIO at EY
  3. David Smith - CEO at Global Futures and Foresight
  4. Kevin Kennedy - SVP Products at Vectra AI
  5. Brad Mallard - CTO at Version 1

Join us on the 25th January to hear from these digital leaders and to exchange your views with our rapidly growing CIONET UK community. Roger Camrass will moderate the session. As with all CIONET events, we believe that this meeting of minds will help empower you in your digital leadership role.
