For the last twenty years, the World has become conversant with digital techniques such as e-commerce, cloud computing, mobile apps, and social media. That era is almost over as we face entirely new challenges and opportunities relating to AI. The USA and China have dominated the digital era. Can the UK raise the stakes in this new era? Our final community event of 2024 addresses the factors that could position us as leaders in the emerging AI economy.
 
We will stage experts from government, academia and industry to discuss and debate what is required for success in the AI economy. This includes:
 
  • Examples of new business models based on AI that are infinitely scalable and flexible
  • A skilled workforce that will enable the full-scale transformation of public and private organisations as well as create new Unicorns
  • A government that is truly committed to innovation and willing to sponsor the necessary infrastructures to enable local AI platforms
  • A tech-savvy population that is quick to adopt new technologies, making the UK an attractive market for AI-enabled services
