Although AI has been with us for decades, the launch of ChatGPT in late 2022 created a tsunami of interest, with uptake exceeding 100 million people in just months. However, organisations remain confused about how to harness generative AI. Reactions vary between CEO-level initiatives, limited experimentation and comprehensive bans on popular tools.

Digital leaders must answer two questions: how best to get started with Generative AI? and what potential outcomes might be achievable in the coming years?

Our first event for 2024 brings top executives and practitioners together to review current practices and discuss future potential. We will hear from John Neill, founder and Executive Chair of The Unipart Group, Britain’s leading logistics company. Catriona Campbell, AI partner at EY UK&I, will explain how such tools could transform professional services. Joining them will be a panel of digital leaders.

John M Neill CBE

Chairman and Group Chief Executive

Unipart Group

John Neill began his career in General Motors and then joined British Leyland where he was responsible for building the Unipart brand into one of Britain’s best known most trusted brands. In 1987 he led the Management Buyout of the company transforming it from its origins into a global manufacturing, logistics and consulting business while at the same time building the Unipart Way ecosystem, now widely used throughout the company and amongst

its clients.

He was educated at George Heriots School, Edinburgh and the University of Strathclyde. John was formerly a member of the Board of Business in the Community, a Director of the Court of the Bank of England, the Royal Mail, Charter International plc and Rolls- Royce plc.

Jenna Franklin

Jenna is a senior corporate, data protection and privacy specialist. With more than 15 years of experience across the UK, EMEA and APAC regions, Jenna's wide-ranging expertise incorporates data privacy, commercial and technology related transactions including advising on AI, AI governance and DLT, digital assets, regulatory compliance, investment and retail banking, and investment management.

She co-chairs the Data Protection Finance Group, a UK network of more than 400 senior lawyers and privacy professionals working in finance across the UK.

Jenna advises on all aspects of data protection and privacy with a specific focus on advising financial services clients. Her clients range from international banks to small asset managers, pension funds

and fintechs.

As well as private practice experience, Jenna provides practical, pragmatic advice to her clients based on extensive in-house experience. Jenna has worked in-house for leading financial services organisations, including Santander where she established the banks data privacy legal function.

Jenna has previously served as a DPO for a FinTech, Asto Digital Ltd., and Vice President and primary legal adviser for data privacy across at Columbia Threadneedle Investments in EMEA (part of Ameriprise Financial Inc.) where she was responsible for the implementation of their GDPR

programme.

As well as the Co-Chair of the Data Protection Finance Group, DPFG, Jenna is a member of IRSG, SASIG, IAPP Women Leading Privacy and Women in Privacy and a speaker at international conferences, panel discussions and other events.

Anil Kaul

Recently listed among the “10 Most Influential Analytics Leaders in India” by Analytics Magazine India and quoted as a “Game Changer” in Research World, Anil is Chief AI Officer at Infogain.

An established leader with a penchant for analytics, Anil is on a mission to transform how the world makes decisions. Over the past 20 years at Absolutdata’s helm, Anil led a team of more than 300 data scientists and engineers, delivering advanced analytics and AI-powered solutions to global companies, including 11 Fortune 100 companies.

Prior to founding Absolutdata, Anil worked at McKinsey Co. and Personify. He is also on the board of Edutopia, an innovative startup in the language learning space.

Anil holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Marketing degree, both from Cornell University. Anil has spoken at several industry conferences and top business schools, including Dartmouth, New York University, Cornell, Yale, Columbia, and the University of California, Berkeley.
