Short introduction by every participant.
The city of Mechelen has invested heavily in the south of the city centre in recent years. After the renewal of Hoogstraat-Korenmarkt, work is now in full swing on the Cortenbach site. The dilapidated and empty buildings in Onze-Lieve-Vrouwestraat are making way for new flats and shops. In the centre there will be an urban square with a public character.
The restoration of the Hof van Cortenbach will be the icing on the cake. This is a wonderful piece of urban renewal, with which Mechelen is restoring part of its historical patrimony and integrating it into a contemporary whole with new functions.
