Sustainability by Design

The majority of Australian companies have not started actively reducing their carbon emissions, or if it is being talked about within an organisation, those conversations are not typically involving the digital leaders, and yet the survey results show a majority want to be involved. 

Change will require strong leadership. This involves buy-in from the C-level and boardroom, target setting and strategic thinking to motivate employees, raising awareness and alignment. Digital Leaders must demonstrate care and awareness of the importance of sustainability for the rest to follow.

The whole shift to digital/digital transformation involves a change in the mindset and way of thinking - helping shape/orchestrate this change is a key skill that digital leaders bring in their work at present and it is applicable to the idea of influencing within a company re sustainability goals.
