Jesús Alcoba MsC, MBA, PhD is the Dean of La Salle International Graduate School of Business. He is also a member of the Board of La Salle University College, which is affiliated to the Autónoma University of Madrid. He is also a member of the International Association of Applied Psychology, the James Caird Society and the think-thank Know Square. He is also an international affiliate of the American Psychological Association.
He has authored four books and co-authored another nine. As a researcher in leadership, among them he has published La Brújula de Shackleton (Shackleton´s Compass), a book that combines his research in success skills with the legendary Endurance expedition. It has been awarded as one of the best business books in 2015. He is also the author of 99Shack, a website that narrates the Endurance expedition. He has travelled to Antarctica to retrace some of its more breathtaking passages, and he has been the only Spanish researcher invited so far to present a keynote in the Shackleton Autumn School, the world´s reference congress about the legendary polar explorer. His latest book is Ultraconciencia (Ultraconsciousness), the first book ever that explains how controlling consciousness is a key to success in life.
His second research line deals with Service Science and Customer Experience, with a focus on how the human being perceives and stores experiences. He is the leader of an international research team that is actively researching and publishing in the field of experience design in the tourism sector.
He has lectured and participated as a speaker worldwide, in countries like United States, Mexico, Finland, United Kingdom, Sweden, The Netherlands or The Philipinnes.
