About the workshop

Understanding the AI Act for Digital Leaders - An intuitive workshop
Understanding the AI Act isn't about compliance checklists - it's about strategy. How does AI regulation impact your digital roadmap, AI investments, and innovation agenda? This CIONET workshop cuts through the complexity and delivers Digital Leaders a lasting and intuitive understanding of how to work with AI regulation.

What makes this workshop "intuitive"?
In this interactive peer-to-peer format, we don't just read th AI Act - we reverse-engineer it. Participants will create their own logic for what AI regulation should look like and then compare it to the actual AI Act. This hands-on, interactive approach builds a skill set that goes beyond compliance - it helps participants think critically about AI products, ethics, and governance.

What You'll Experience in This Workshop
  • Hands-on exercises where you evaluate AI use cases, from harmless to highly problematic;
  • Real-world use cases from AI experts;
  • A deep dive into the risk-based approach - when should high-risk use cases be allowed, and under what conditions?
  • The geopolitical backdrop-why certain AI rules exist and what global events influenced them?
  • Networking & Peer Exchange - connect with fellow digital leaders shaping AI strategy.

This workshop isn't just about understanding the AI Act - it's about learning how to think about AI regulation in a way that sticks. These insights will help you work alongside legal experts, develop AI products in a compliant way, and create AI governance frameworks that actually make sense.
