Phil Wilkinson is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Head of Global Automotive AGR for the NSG Group, whose brands include Pilkington. NSG Group is headquartered in Tokyo.

Phil joined Pilkington in 1988 and was appointed Group CIO in 2010.  Phil added the role of Chief Procurement Officer to his responsibilities in December 2013 and was appointed to his current role in 2017. 

Phil graduated from Bradford University, with a B.Sc. (hons)  in Computing and Information Systems Science, joining the Pilkington Glass Limited UK Graduate development scheme in 1988. Since then he has undertaken a number of roles in Information Systems globally.  Prior to his current appointments he was SAP Development Manager and led SAP implementations in many countries across different business lines in the Group. He was Director of Global IS Service Centres & Clients at the time of the NSG acquisition of Pilkington. 

Phil is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the British Computer Society

Phil Wilkinson is married to Veria with two children aged 16 and 18. 

A pioneer of today’s Internet in the seventies (at MIT) Roger Camrass has been helping organisations across the Globe harness the power of new technologies and methods for over five decades.

As a thought leader, business executive and part time academic, Roger has introduced a succession of innovations including digital networking in the seventies, outsourcing and call centres in the eighties, business reengineering and third generation mobile networks in the nineties, e-commerce in 2000 and more recently cloud and 5G.

I have the curiosity of an engineer and the acumen of a business unit leader. I'm learning all about the digital economy here at Surrey in a practicable way, working with Tier 1 clients in construction, aviation and space, energy and communiations. Getting the effective balance of the power of technology vs the emotional intelligence of the human workforce is fascinating. It lies at the core of every enterprise seeking digital awareness and positive transformation. From the creation of content, the development of work programmes and the delivery of deep-seated studies and business change guidance, as an Advisor, my mix of technical know-how, communication efficacy and management expertise has been highly influential. These are indeed fascinating times and understanding with empathy the impact of artificial and emotional intelligence has never been more crucial when making business decisons in these uncertain, digital times.
