About

For years the digital function has been asked to do more with the same headcount and resources. AI now challenges everything we have assumed about how technology teams work. Programmers and engineers have always been the scarce resource IT was built around, but AI makes execution capacity abundant. That has the potential to radically reshape the digital function.

This session covers both halves: how the function can be redesigned, and what governance and accountability apply when systems act on their own.

What we’ll explore

  • When engineering capacity is no longer scarce, what the digital function is actually for
  • What should be delegated to an agent, what must a human review, and what must a human own outright
  • Who is accountable, legally and operationally, when AI-generated code or an autonomous agent makes a costly error
  • How to run legacy platforms reliably while moving at agentic speed
