Barbara Poli is Chief Information & Technology Officer of Grandi Navi Veloci, an MSC Group company, and a member of the Executive Committee. She is responsible for the company’s entire Technology function, spanning applications, infrastructure, data and artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and IT governance.
Since 2019, she has been leading GNV’s technology transformation, supporting the company through a period of significant growth and increasing operational complexity. Under her leadership, GNV has reshaped its digital foundations through the modernisation of core systems, the migration of infrastructure to the cloud, the development of an enterprise Data Platform, and the creation of a structured model to take artificial intelligence from experimentation to industrial-scale adoption.
Before joining GNV, she held senior responsibilities at RINA across strategy, organisation, IT, and digital innovation, following more than ten years at Accenture Strategy, where she worked on strategy and transformation programs for large international organisations.
She graduated with honors in Economics from Bocconi University and is President of the Advisory Board of CIONET Italy, the international network of digital leaders.

Sjourd Wijdeveld is an experienced technology executive with over 20 years’ experience as CIO in various global manufacturing and distribution companies like Trivium Packaging, SHV Energy, Wavin, Watts Water Technologies, and Philips.
His passion is driving technology enabled innovation and transformation to make organisations perform better and become more sustainable.
Key focus areas are AI & Digital Transformation, Cyber Security, and Sustainability.
Next to his role as CIO, Sjourd is Non-Executive Director / Board Member at Kratos Accountancy Group and investor & advisor in several AI, Cyber Security, and Sustainability start-ups. Sjourd holds a degree as CTO from MIT, Leadership & Innovation from IMD University, Computer Science from Delft University, and Supply Chain Management from Breda University of Applied Science.
