We spend most of the year talking about what worked.
For our final Advisory Board dinner of the year, we thought we’d do something a little different. No presentations. No polished success stories. No pretending everything went according to plan.
Just dinner, drinks and an honest conversation around the table about the things that didn’t work.
The decision that turned out to be wrong.
The project that went sideways.
The thing you would do differently today.
And, most importantly, what you learned from it.
During dinner, those who feel like sharing will have the opportunity to tell us about one of their professional fuck-ups of the year, big or small.
Not to dwell on what went wrong, but to talk about what came out of it.
Because sometimes the most useful lessons are the ones we don't put on a slide. We'll then turn those lessons towards 2027:
What will you do differently next year?
Your lesson might become your resolution. Your mistake might become someone else's shortcut.
There will, of course, be a little Secret Santa (more details to be announced later). At CONET we'll also think about giving beyond our own circle. Together with Dell, we're supporting the Shoe-Box campaign, which collects Christmas boxes for people experiencing poverty and homelessness in Belgium.
If you'd like to take part, bring a Shoe-Box or contribute to our collective effort. A box contains simple food and drink items, a Christmas card and, if you wish, small hygiene or winter items, wrapped and ready to be given as a Christmas present.
So there will be gifts for the people around the table and hopefully, a few for people who won't be sitting around one.
Because the best way to finish the year might be to be a little more honest about it.
At Tapart, everything revolves around fire, flavour, and togetherness.
They cook over an open fire, using honest, quality ingredients to create a warm and welcoming dining experience.
Their philosophy is rooted in simplicity, authenticity, and genuine moments shared around the table, in a place where everyone feels welcome and time seems to slow down.
Surrounded by greenery and natural light, the event space offers an inviting setting for gatherings, bringing people together through exceptional food and meaningful experiences, with thoughtful attention to every detail.
