Agustín González Tuñón joined Prosegur, one of the main multinational companies in the private security industry, in 2008 as CIO for Europe. After that he was appointed as Global CIO end of 2010. Previously he held other similar responsibility positions in the services sector of American firms such as Teradata, Deloitte and American Management Systems.
Since the beginning of his professional career in 1995, he has been helping multinational businesses to invest in technology as one of the primary sources of growth and increased productivity within organizations, with a specific focus on emerging technologies to improve the customer experience and drive new customer and business value.
As an IT leader he has developed significant expertise in complex settings, enriched by his direct multinational exposure in countries such as: Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Austria, Belgium and the U.S.
Key challenges and achievements as a CIO have been conducting a very ambitious Organizational and Technological transformation within multinational Prosegur, in a context of relevant inorganic growth international expansion.
He graduated in Business Science Administration at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas ICADE (Madrid, Spain), Diplom Betriebswirtschaft, at the Fachhochschule Reutlingen University (Germany) and has a M.B.A with a specialization in Telecommunications Management at the University of Saint Edward’s Austin Texas (U.S.).
